I am pro life but am not a political optimist relative to abortion laws. I believe the world will find common ground legally around 20 weeks and only move them there after the culture forces a change. But the most famous name in this fight is Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood. Who was she, really! What did she believe? When did Planned Parenthood move toward abortion. Answer: 1960. Sound familiar! Time to focus on the real issue – the culture. The laws will follow eventually. Right now the pro life culture is gaining because some of our kids are realizing the negative side of sex. The other? I wish them well as they struggles with their decisions and their consequences. I hope they choose life as the proper moral option irregardless of what the law allows.

Minimum wage policy discussion is all politics. It is also a ploy to divert media attention away from other nasty failures like Obamacare and the economy. — http://www.caintv.com/democrat-house-organ-admits-mi

Men and women are different in many ways. We should celebrate those differences. We should also celebrate individual accomplishment regardless of gender without stereotype I restrictions. Our laws should reflect the individual, the family, & local organizations without identification of groups of people by class of any sort for which nature will not allow a change. — http://themattwalshblog.com/2013/12/28/why-it-matters-that-men-and-women-are-different/

Power corrupts – the higher the power can affect the greater the distortion of freedom. Only the big boys can manipulate big powers. They need to be decoupled – somehow. The question is how! — http://www.againstcronycapitalism.org/2014/01/harry-reid-pushed-feds-to-change-ruling-for-casinos-big-money-foreigners/

Very few people in Congress place freedom over political favors. Sen Ted Cruz appears to be one of them. — http://www.redstate.com/2013/12/30/support-ted-cruz/

The Duck Dynasty uproar is not about his words – “Perkins said the Duck Dynasty patriarch was targeted “simply because he expressed his religious beliefs but there is a clear double standard that is being applied.” – “It is time for all Americans to take a stand against the cultural elites who want to destroy the livelihood of people and remove God and His truth from every aspect of public life,” he said. Whether you believe in God has nothing to do with this issue! — http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2013/12/20/duck-dynasty-cant-imagine-show-going-on-without-phil/

Common Core is the essence of central government planning for government run schools.  I have trouble thinking of something more individual than child development and how we as children learn from our interactions with the world. We should run away from Common Core as fast and far as we possibly can. — http://reason.com/archives/2014/01/01/common-core-the-latest-flaw-in-one-size

The insurance company bailout was written into Obamacare. They intended to take over all risk management for the insurance industry. They have effectively nationalized the insurance industry without taking over the ownership. This is the essence of fascism as I understand it. All stock shareholders that love freedom and wish to hold their managers accountable should run away!  — http://www.againstcronycapitalism.org/2013/12/insurance-companies-absolutely-will-be-bailed-out-its-written-into-the-obamacare-law-video/

A major change in direction is needed to fix Obamacare and a change in the mind of young people about the dangers of big government is needed to save our country!

NONE of my tea party friends believe in raising the minimum wage. They all believe the current minimum wage is a key reason why youth unemployment is so high. They also believe that minimum wage was NEVER intended to be a “living wage”. — http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/01/01/msnbc-segment-claims-a-majority-of-tea-party-members-support-raising-the-minimum-wage-but-do-they/

Love it! Big business tries to squash a small guy trying to survive and small guy strikes back with the business equivalent of “trash talk”! — http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2531515/Us-small-business-owners-need-stick-Hilarious-brewers-response-sent-6-check-Starbucks-threatened-sue-Frappucino-beer.html

I never understood the legal and political implications of signing a treaty on American society. This quote is revealing. “While it has not been ratified by the Senate (and probably cannot be), under the Vienna Convention, it acquires the force of law in the U.S. until it is either turned down by the Senate or withdrawn by the president. Harry Reid will not bring the Treaty up for a vote, so it would remain in force for the duration of the Obama presidency. By 2017, its structures and commitments would have bitten deep into American law and practice.” – I need to research this one. — http://www.dickmorris.com/victory-on-arms-trade-treaty/?utm_source=dmreports&utm_medium=dmreports&utm_campaign=dmreports

Hillary as President should be voted down on the principle that political dynasties are merely manifestations of misdirected political power and a compliant citizenry. The only thing worse than Another Clinton as a presidential candidate would be if she has Jeb Bush as her Republican opponent. — http://rare.us/story/is-hillary-inevitable-in-2016-no-way/

I long for the day when Jesse Jackson stops screaming racism against whites because the reduction of impactful racism in this country is so obvious. Some people somewhere are directly impacted by true racism and it should be dealt with. But using racism as an excuse to avoid recognizing other more impactful issues is wrong. Time to move on and stop depressing the initiative of black people. Celebrate their accomplishments instead! — http://www.redstate.com/gamecock/2013/12/26/jesse-jackson-to-shake-down-ae-over-ducks-white-privilege-dynasty/

The Bus Project – something to watch. The tactics of the left are clearly focused on a demographic that typically does not show up. If that is successful and those on the right are successful, the west will go blue and surprise everyone. The left works outside the view of the major media that would ignore them. Don’t be surprised if the right stays home and gets their “clock cleaned”!! — http://touch.humanevents.com/humanevents/#!/entry/under-the-bus-unionbacked-group-turning-americas-west-blue,52c1c6dc025312186cac3e88/1

I heard this live while listening to the Buck Sexton Show. I had to stop and listen. She “fell asleep” here. This professor is right on – ““Tea Party forces will still win in the end,” Theda Skocpol writes, unless moderate Republicans can defeat them. Skocpol concedes that the Tea Party “will triumph just by hanging on long enough” as Americans are getting fed up by “our blatantly manipulated democracy and our permanently hobbled government.”” — http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2013/12/why-the-tea-party-isnt-going-anywhere/282591/
